Sometimes you just have to directly say what your business is and what you do.
The end goal is to get customers after all.
However, the quickest way to get your content scrolled past is to have it just be plain text.
People will view this in much the same way they view the automatically generated advertisements by the platform and soon they will cease to notice you or your business.
So how can you make this bread and butter content more interesting so that it attracts customers to your business rather than having them tune it out?
A Picture is Worth 1000 Words
This is a very old saying but it couldn?t be more apt for the digital economy.
A post of plain text blends into the background and is forgotten.
The same post with a relevant picture will cause the user to linger and pay more attention.
For example, a company that sells smoothies rates a post about how they use only the freshest ingredients in their smoothies and this level of quality is what sets them apart from their competitors.
This, written plainly is simply a statement of fact.
While it might be in true that this company has the freshest most delicious smoothies in the world nothing entices the potential customer.
However, that same post about fresh ingredients and delicious taste supplemented with a picture of fresh fruit with morning dew sliding gently down at sunrise paints a much more vivid picture.
Being much more visually interesting, the user will connect that company with the picture of the fresh fruit even if they do it subconsciously.
A more direct version of this would see the post supplemented with a picture of the finished smoothie.
The effect of this will be similar, with the added benefit that the potential customer may even start craving a smoothie.
In which case business will of been directly accomplished simply because the social media post included a picture.
Social media platforms have begun to realize how truly effective even a single photo can be.
On Facebook, if you attempt to post without a picture you will sometimes receive a prompt asking if you want to attach one.
Instagram and Pinterest REQUIRE a picture to even post!
The last thing you want to be is forgettable.
